Course Format: Blended learning is a combination of eLearning, in which a student completes a self-paced online course, followed by a hands-on skills session. We suggest purchasing the online course at least 2 days before the skills session and allowing 2 hours to complete the online portion of this course. The hands-on skills session is completed in person with an American Heart Association authorized Instructor. Any student can take the course in a blended format, but its recommended for experienced students due to the fast pace nature of the course.

Course Information: This course is for Healthcare Professionals (Individuals currently enrolled in school or working in the field such as EMTs, PAs, Nurses, Dentists, Physicians, Pharmacists, PTs, OTs, and other healthcare providers) who need to know how to perform CPR, as well as other lifesaving skills, in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings. This course covers single rescue and Team BLS for Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED, use of the bag-valve mask, foreign-body airway obstruction, and Special resuscitation situations. 

Students Receive: An American Heart Association BLS Provider completion card (valid for 2 years) within 24 hours after successful course completion.

There are TWO parts to the American Heart Association Basic Life Support Blended course:

1. Part 1 (Online Course SOLD SEPARATELY) to be completed at your home or office (1-2 hours)
2. Part 2  (Skills Session) at one of our in-person skills sessions (1.5 hours)
