American Red Cross - Basic Life Support (BLS)

It is recommended you enter a personal email address when registering for a class as often times a school or work email address will bounce emails, and you may not receive all of your course information!  

General Course Information: This course is for Healthcare Professionals who need to know how to perform CPR, as well as other lifesaving skills, in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings. This course covers Adult and Pediatric CPR, Two-rescuer scenarios and use of the bag-valve mask, Foreign-body airway obstruction, Automated External Defibrillation (AED), Special resuscitation situations and other cardiopulmonary emergencies. 

Students Receive: An American Red Cross eCard (valid for 2 years) that will be sent 24-48 hours of completing the skills session.

Audience: Individuals (currently enrolled in school, or working in the field) such as EMTs, PAs, Nurses, Dentists, Physicians, Hematologists, Pharmacists, Paramedics, PTs, OTs, and other healthcare providers are likely required to be certified in BLS. 

There are TWO parts to the American Red Cross Basic Life Support Blended course:

1. Part 1 (Online Course) provided after registration via email to be completed at your home or office (2 hours)
2. Part 2  (Skills Session) at one of our in-person skills sessions (2.5 hours)
